my season finale + A LITTLE SUITE FOR THE LITTLE BRIDE

the television networks are gearing up for season premieres, and i am gearing up for a season finale!   since i have no idea what motherhood holds for me, i only have 2 more performances booked for the foreseeable future.  so catch me while you can!  :)

if you live in NYC or BOSTON, please join me and my friend/ collaborator ANNA SOLOMON for our performances of A LITTLE SUITE FOR THE LITTLE BRIDE on 9-22-11 (NYC) or 10-4-11 (BOSTON).   i’ll be singing songs and creating soundscapes on fiddle and guitar routed through all sorts of fun pedals (loops/ delay/ overdrive).   anna will be reading from her novel, THE LITTLE BRIDE.   to get a sneak peek of what you can expect from the shows, check out our interview on WBUR 90.9.

BEACON SHOW CANCELLED

due to dear irene, we have cancelled tomorrow night’s performance of SILVER AND ASH in BEACON, NY. the show will be rescheduled, even if that means the baby hangs out on stage with me in her pack ‘n play. for all of you in the southeast/ northeast, stay safe and dry.

FINAL SHOWS for 2011!!

this is from a few weeks back. i’m even bigger now. which means that it’s time to SLOW down. i’ve posted my last performances for 2011 on the TOUR PAGE, so go check them out and see if any of them are in your neck of the woods.

the bulk of the shows are collaborative performances with my friend, ANNA SOLOMON, whose debut novel, THE LITTLE BRIDE hits the shelves on 9-6-11. to celebrate, Anna and I will present A LITTLE SUITE for THE LITTLE BRIDE, a song cycle inspired by Anna’s novel that weaves together story and song in a seamless performance. expect an exploration of my favorite themes: memory, loss, love, immigration, and the creative process itself. summer shows + new tune + a bun in the oven

ladies and gentlemen,
